Heritage crafts and old-tyme farming skills are highlighted in this 2-day
family event that showcases a simpler life. Draft animals will be demonstrating "no gas needed" farming skills and offering wagon rides, as well as providing power for corn-grinding, sorghum pressing, and more (weather permitting). Syrup cooking, spinning, weaving, woodcarving, soapmaking, dry stone masonry, quilting, Native American herb lore & culture, children's primitive games and toys, beekeeping, and much more! (listing subject to change). Local author Walter Schlemper will be signing his autobiographical books about life on the farm, and drover Carl Heth will be fielding questions about oxen care and training. Real chuckwagon food, awesome barbecue, kettle corn, gunnel cakes, plus other treats! More may be added as we get closer to the event weekend!
